Using this website

By using Torus Lookup you agree to these terms. Searching and browsing are free for everyone; submitting content (listings, products, reviews, appeals and interest posts) requires a registered account. You are responsible for keeping your password, recovery key and authenticator device secure.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post, and you grant us a licence to display it on the site. You must have the right to publish anything you submit — including photos — and you must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, misleading or harmful. Submissions are moderated and may be edited, held back or removed at our discretion.

Listings, reviews and appeals

  • Listings must describe a real business you are entitled to represent.
  • Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. You may not review your own business, and incentivised or fake reviews are removed.
  • Missing-person appeals must be posted in good faith, ideally alongside an official report. We may remove an appeal at the request of the person concerned, their family or the authorities.
  • Shared-interest posts must be safe and lawful; only share contact details you are happy to make public.

Community Standards

Every member agrees to these standards at registration and confirms them by email before their membership becomes active. Torus Lookup does not allow:

  • Pornography or sexually explicit content of any kind;
  • Cults, coercive groups, or recruitment into them;
  • Harmful, exploitative or predatory contact — including grooming, catfishing and financial scams;
  • Hate speech, harassment, bullying or discrimination;
  • Any content or behaviour that is illegal in the poster's or reader's country.

Content is moderated and accounts that break these standards are removed. If you see something that shouldn't be here, please report it.

Meeting people safely

Shared-interest posts help people connect — please do it safely. Always hold a first meeting in a public place, tell someone where you're going, and verify the person by telephone or webcam before meeting so you know they are who they say they are. Never send money to someone you have only met online.

Information, not advice

Directory entries, data lookups and reviews are provided for general information. They are not legal, financial or professional advice, and inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement. Verify important details — qualifications, insurance, VAT numbers, dialling codes — with the relevant official source before relying on them.

Accuracy and availability

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee that every entry is current or error-free, or that the site will always be reachable. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on site content or from dealings between users and listed businesses.

Intellectual property

The Torus Lookup name, logo, design and curated datasets belong to us. You may not scrape, republish or bulk-extract site content without written permission.

Account suspension

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, abuse other users, attempt to game reviews, or compromise the security of the platform.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the date above shows the latest revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
